MEET THE AUTHOR & NARRATOR

Ashli St. Armant is an author, musician, vocalist, and arts educator.  Her debut novel, Viva Durant and the Secret of the Silver Buttons, hit the New York Times Best Audiobooks List, and set the path for her new venture into children’s literature. Her work now includes the Viva Durant Mystery Series and several short stories in collaboration with Rebel Girls.

She also leads Jazzy Ash and the Leaping Lizards, an award-winning jazz band for young audiences. They have produced six albums featured by NPR and L.A. Times, and have performed at numerous venues including Lincoln Center and Sprout Network (NBC).

Bahni Turpin is an award-winning Audible Hall of Fame narrator. Her work includes lending her voice to stories including The Hate U Give, The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, The Underground Railroad and The Help.

She has also performed in films such as Malcom X and Without A Trace, and television shows like Cold Case and Star Trek. Bahni is also an ensemble member of Cornerstone Theater Company in Los Angeles.
